Conflict Prevention

As the saying goes: “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

People During Workshop

Education

Training allows individuals and teams  to become their own problem-solvers (and problem-preventers), saving time, money, and reducing stress for everyone over long term. Our goal is to help you acquire the skills, knowledge and abilities to improve your creative collaborations and workplace environment, so that you can get back to business free from unnecessary distraction and stress. Our learning experiences are tailored to the specific needs of a workplace, on any of the following areas:

  • Conflict Prevention Skills

  • Conflict Resolution Skills

  • Diversity and Inclusion

  • Trauma-Informed Workplaces

We also provide education for developing and professional practitioners. Through our partnership with the Centre for Informal Dispute Resolution and Conflict Studies Department at the University of St-Paul (Ottawa University), we offer training in the following areas:

  • Mediation

  • Group Intervention

  • Workplace Restoration

  • Trauma-Informed Practice

Coaching

Clients work one-on-one with one of our coaching experts. You decide the goal, with input from the coach. Conflict Coaching is most appropriate when:

  • you want to handle a situation by yourself, but you need some guidance or feedback on the approach;

  • you want to prepare for going into a “difficult conversation” to increase your chances of a positive outcome;

  • you want to develop some new skills so that you can prevent a difficult situation from happening in the first place; or

  • you want to improve your skills so that you can better navigate an existing situation.

Support Group

Group Facilitation

A facilitated group discussion is designed to support a team work through an issue or situation before it becomes a problem. The facilitator will help the group create an agenda that clarifies what they need to discuss, and will then support them through the process of conversation and, where applicable, to decision-making.
